This week our table tennis team were back in action have qualified for the Night of Champions finals at the Mini Youth Games.
The team have been practising really hard for a few weeks and were looking really good. There were to be no easy games with all the teams fielding strong sides.
Our quarter-final was against Academy of Woodlands, a really tough opener, which we eventually lost 4-2 after some really close and hard fought battles.
We then played Hempsterad who, back in the Mini Youth Games, beat us. This time we turned the tables and won this game to put us in the 5th/6th position playoff against Balfour. Once again a close fought game with Balfour's girls playing exceptionally well to take the game 4-2 and for us to be 6th.
All of the team have worked incredibly hard and improved their technique and match-play and awareness. We would also like to thank Roger for his invaluable contribution to our school competition and congratulate him on his national coaching award earlier in the year.
