O2 experience

On 28th January our school choir took part in The Young Voices Concert at the O2 arena in London. Mrs Evans, Mrs Herrod, Mrs Memmott and Miss Lewis took the choir to the event.
The choir have been practising for this amazing opportunity since September. We left school by coach at 12.30 to travel to the arena for a final practice. At the end of the practice Stacey Soloman came onto the stage and the O2 went berserk!!! We sang ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ with her.
At the concert over 7000 children sang in front of a sell-out audience. The concert began at 7pm and ended at 9.15 pm although we did not get out of the arena until later.
The special guests also taking part in the concert were Urban Strides, a street dance troupe, who got the whole audience on their feet dancing. Wayne Ellington, who was a great inspiration to the YV choir Keith Semple, who got everybody jumping up and down  with ‘Living on a Prayer’ and finally X Factor finalist Stacey Soloman.
We all had a fantastic time but were very tired the next day.
