Well done to our table tennis team under the ever-encouraging eye of coach Roger Chipperfield. They went to the Night of Champions Tournament having finished 3rd in the Mini Youth Games event earlier in the year. The whole team played outstandingly meeting up with local rivals St Margaret's in the final. They all kept their standards up with a couple of really close games and finished up Medway Champions.
Special thanks must go again to Roger who gives up many of his lunchtimes to come and coach the children in school. His record of leading the team to success speaks for itself. Of the five years the Night of Champions has been run we have one three times and been runner up once and 3rd the other.
I would also like to thank the school badminton team for their attitude and the way they played at the Night of Champions too. At the Mini Youth Games we finished 9th in the badminton event and were invited to join in Night of Champions after one of the top eight dropped out. This was a last minute call and the team chose to go and take part even though we hadn't had a chance to practise since the last event. They worked hard and eighth place is a position better than at the Mini Youth Games. Thank you for all your hard work on the night.
