Our swimming team visited Medway Park for the latest in the Mini Youth Games events for this year. With a mixture of experienced swimmers, some just starting their club career and a non-club swimmer we knew we had a strong team this year.
The competition was very strong with a record entry of 37 schools at a packed pool. Most of the swimmers swam in three individual events and each did one relay leg.
All the timings will follow when they are sent out by Medway. There are so many stunning performances throughout the day that is is hard to single out any one individual however a special effort must be made for Rafe in the final leg of the freestyle relay, he started his leg one length down on his neighbouring swimmer and swam out of his skin to win the heat on the touch.
In the end we were tied on points with St Andrews from Rochester on times and on the countback of placings in each race we were placed 1st.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Painter for her help with the team.
